PLEASE NOTE WHAT OPERATING SYSTEM(S) IS (ARE) REQUIRED FOR EACH OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE LISTED - Some may not currently run on Windows directly, but you have some options  - 1.  In general, other operating systems are free - so you could replace Windows  - 2. Note that MySQL / PHP run on Windows directly while others might be able to run on various emulators and virtual PCs which allow you to run one operating system on another - see Cross-platform Emulators to run old programs & phone apps on newer computers  - 3.  Because of ongoing project developments - software may be recoded for additional operating systems (including Windows) - so check or search engines for new releases). Also, if you want to run an old DOS program, use DOSBOX - an open-source emulator - Download Here - Via

Note to educators:   Most "kidsafe" search engines can still access other search engines which are unfiltered and that restrict users under 18 - unless they are disabled in advance - See details on Webtools Page
