This session will focus on presenting nine strategies linked with fostering student achievement across all subject areas and grade levels. The content of this session is based on the book, Classroom Instruction That Works by Robert Marzano, Debra Pickering and Jane Pollack. Participants will explore selected strategies, practice these and discuss their application possibilities. Each participant will leave with a handout of resources they can apply immediately.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Examine how the brain processes information.
- Explore the role of emotions in the learning process.
- Discuss and practice nine teaching strategies linked with fostering student achievement.
- Identify personal “next steps.”
