Success Strategies for Navigating the Principalship

This session will explore the question "What are the Essential Skills Highly Effective Leaders Possess?"  Participants will examine three bodies of research that can support or hinder leadership actions to promote high levels of student learning and vibrant, learning focused cultures in their schools.  They will acquire practical success strategies they can apply immediately in their own workplaces.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

• Identify and discuss nine ingredients for leadership success
• Analyze strategies to promote quality teaching and student learning
• Examine tools to transform toxic cultures into collaborative, results oriented learning communities
• Explore ways to balance and integrate leadership and management tasks

Every participant will leave the session with a handout they can use immediately.
