The Virginia Organizing
Project is one of a number of powerful and effective statewide multi-issue
organizations that is building people's power around the country. I am
proud to support this organization doing excellent work in my home state.

The National Low Income Housing
Coalition was my place of work from 1988 to 1995. I left there as Director
of Field Services. The NLIHC has been a key voice for low income housing
needs for two decades, and in 1999 hired a dynamic President, Sheila Crowley.

Anti-Highway Activist
Mark Robinowitz is a committed environmentalist who is nationally known
for his fight against a destructive highway proposal in the Maryland suburbs
of Washington, DC. Check his site for links to other highway and environmental
resources and many more activist resources.

CHANGE Communications is Winton
Pitcoff's consulting and Internet services organization. Winton is a highly
skilled and politically sophisticated consultant to nonprofits, and this
page has a nice list of some good guy groups, mainly community development
related.

the site of a powerful spiritual force, the progressive fundamentalist
magazine Sojourners. For those who believe that a powerful anti-racist
and anti-elitist message is inconsistent with prophetic fundamentalist
Christianity, here's a place to get educated otherwise.

is a resource for labor organizing and other progessive activity in the
Hampton Roads area of Virginia.
