The
John Carrell Jenkins Council is located at St. John the Baptist Roman
Catholic Church in Front Royal on W. Main Street. The Grand Knight for 2005-2006
is Darryl Adams. You can contact the Knights by email at kofc@shentel.net.
The Council meets the second
Wednesday of every month in the Knights Chambers in the St. John the
Baptist Church Main St. Hall, 326 W. Main St., Front Royal, VA 22630.
The John Carrell Jenkins Council
was founded in 1981. It is named after John Carrell Jenkins, who was
Confederate soldier from the North who came to Virginia to fight, and
ultimately die, for the South.
After his death his family donated the funds to build the original
church of St. John the Baptist in Front Royal. John Carrell Jenkins Council
works closely with St. John the Baptist Church, providing funds for various
projects, members being active participants in their parish.
