| Once you reach the top of the hill and cross over Bratager Creek, you'll see this mill. I would have to presume that this is the Lockes Mill, since it's a mill and it's on Lockes Mill Road. (Maybe we'll have to ask somebody at the Clarke County Historical Association about this.) The waterwheel is not visible from this side of the building, but you'll see it on the way back. Please be extra careful here, because the road narrows to one car-width as you pass the mill! Beyond the mill, the road heads downhill-- and you can just see Briggs Road veering off to the left as Lockes Mill Road curves to the right. (<< PREVIOUS | NEXT >>) |
