I met John in 1973, he was a family friend, his daughter Darcy and my son Dan are about the same age. John was a manager for Gino's and Red Lobster back in the early to mid 70's. He met his wife Florence when he moved back to the Pittsburg area in the mid to late 70's. We had lost touch for the last 16 or so years. I have at least one more old-time friend, Sara (from New Jersey), to track down, and family to whom I have not seen in 20 + years. The older I get, the larger the need I feel to reach out to all the people who have touched my life.
John and Florence visited the Massanutten Military School, where Flo's dad was a student in his youth. Florence has a photo of her dad sitting on this same cannon.
