| DIRECTIONS |  Choir singing during the Ordination Service of Sarah Hill Nov. 2002 Church Musician Opening Broadway Presbyterian Church, Broadway, Virginia, is soliciting applicants for the part-time position of Music Director (ie., pianist/organist/choir director). Besides playing piano and organ for the eleven o'clock Sunday worship service, responsibilities include rehearsing with the Adult Choir on a chosen weekday evening (except during the summer months) and fostering the Children's Choir. The church's Allen organ is the preferred instrument for accompanying congregational singing. (Applicants who do not have organ proficiency, but who are willing to seek to develop organ proficiency are encouraged). Traditional, four-part music is regarded as an essential element of worship by members of this congregation. The church's music library of anthems is extensive. Compensation, schedule, and duties are negotiable and flexible. The currently budgeted salary is $120 per week.
