ORGANIZATION

The Session of the church consists of nine members, each elected for a three year term. Terms are "staggered" so that only three elders begin new terms each year.   The final year of an elder's term of service is indicated by his or her "class of..." designation.

The session for the year 2007 has the following members:

Class of 2007 Angela Ritchie, John Myers, Philip Zirkle

Class of 2008 Betty Ann Sullivan, Fonda Cullers, Bob Black

Class of 2009 Joan Layman, Houston Lynch, Duane Startin.

On October 21, 2007, the congregation elected elders to begin serving in January of 2008:

Class of 2010 Karen Milne, Leslie Sebers, Margaret Smith.

Records and correspondence are managed by a clerk. The clerk elected by the session for 2007 is Betty Ann Sullivan.  Other areas of responsibility are assigned to committees. Interested church members serve on the committees with one or more elders. Usually an elder is the committee chair who calls meetings, sets the agenda, and conveys recommendations to the Session for action. The sessional committee chairs are the following:

Congregational Care, Duane Startin

Finance/Stewardship, Angela Ritchie

Long Range Planning, Joan Layman

Mission, John Myers

Personnel, Bob Black

Property, Phil Zirkle

Worship, Houston Lynch.

The Nominating Committee is a congregational committee of two elders appointed by the session and three persons not currently serving on the session elected by the congregation in a called congregational meeting. For 2007 Elder   John Myers is the chair.  Elder Fonda Cullers was also appointed by the session.  Members elected by the congregation are:  Stacy Harper (3 year term), J. Dan Cullers (2 year term), Jill Harper (1 year term).
