Cooking-Alecia Style

If you read my mini-autobiography you already know I love to cook (if you haven't then you kow now) but I dont typically write recipes-or follow them very
closely. This page lists how-to's for my favorite things to cook, and if I do actually use a recipe I will post it here. If possible I will use a link to each recipe online
for a more convenient way to create my favorie dishes.

Tips and How-to's
1. ALWAYS underbake your confections. You can always stick it back in the oven if it's too gooey but if you overbake your SOL.
2. Cakes-when you need to grease AND flour a pan dont use white flour. Use a bit of the cake mix instead, that way you wont have white flour on your
chocolate cake.
3. Always frost twice-it's called a 'crumb layer'. This will provide a nice smooth layer of icing

1. Good for you meatloaf
1lb. ground turkey, 1 can mixed veggies, 2 eggs, and italian breadcrumbs. Bake on 400 for around 30 minutes.

2. Trail mix cookies
Box of jiffy (that little cheap box) of pie crust, mix as directed but add in about 1/4 cup butter. Spread this out thin onto a cookie sheet. Bake it till firm-this will always be flaky no way around that unless using a different base cookie-about 12-15 min. While it's baking grab a big bowl and microwave (30sec at a time) 2 of the big bars of chocolate. Once your chocolate has melted add to it anything you'd like. For my trail mix I added raisins, pretzels, walnuts, and of course peanut butter (peanut butter will cause the chocolate not to harden onto the cookies!). Spread this mixture out onto the top of your pie crust base and let it reharden-unless you added the peanut butter. If your in a rush you can stick the whole cookie sheet into the fridge.

3. PIZZA
Two packages of the pizza crust mix power-add to this garlic powder, basil, and oregano. Mix as directed and top with spinach, mushrooms, and alfredo sauce and as much of any kind of cheese you'd like. WHITE PIZZA-garlic, alfredo sauce, moza cheese, and chicken.
